Continuation
After years of hard work, the time has come. You are retiring and transferring your business. Perhaps with a heavy heart, though you might also appreciate having more time for your hobbies.
How the continuation of the business is handled depends on the agreements made when it was founded. If you ran a private limited company (B.V.) on your own, you can transfer ownership by selling your shares. Alternatively, you can keep the shares and transfer the company’s assets and liabilities.
It is advisable to plan these matters well in advance. If the optimal legal structure for the transition has not yet been arranged, keep in mind that this process can take up to three years. You are always welcome to discuss your plans with us.
